Events will include “Outdoor Adventure Week,” “Family Week,” “Arts & Qulture,” and “Taste of PrideFest.” In the interest of wellness and safety many events will be ticketed and have capacity limits. In 2021, the annual event will take place over four themed-weeks throughout June. Pete Pride is Florida’s largest LGBT Pride celebration. Drag shows, nonprofit fundraisers, and LGBTQ networking events pop up weekly. The gay scene is never lacking in this town either. Pete is known for attracting lesbian retirees, but there is a growing population of gay men, transgender people and a younger nonbinary crowd! What is most unique about this region of Florida is the diversity within the LGBTQ community. Pete offers a laid back vibe with tons to do and several places to connect with other like-minded LGBTQ people.
The region has one of the largest LGBTQ populations in the state of Florida, if not the largest.įor LGBTQ locals, St. Petersburg is home to a very large, and growing, LGBTQ community. Pete takes the “rainbow cake” as the gayest side of the bay.
The Tampa Bay region, in general, is very LGBTQ-inclusive.
